COLUMN: As middle class shrinks, America finds prosperity
The good news is Americans have never been richer. The bad news is most of them don’t feel like it.
America is experiencing a paradox: while the nation's aggregate wealth has reached unprecedented levels, many middle-class families are feeling increasingly squeezed, leading to a disconnect between national prosperity and individual financial well-being.
